Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that COVID-19 had killed 179 patients during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 81,362.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to June 08, 2021, 2,980,116 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 2,578,263 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 8,846 cases, out of whom 1,216 patients were hospitalized.

3,620 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 20,938,338 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 16 cities are red, 201 are orange, and 231 are yellow zones.

So far, 4,252,778 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 682,483 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 4,935,261 doses.
