Tehran (IP) - With the efforts of the experts of an Iranian knowledge-based company, the four-dimensional drug "Saliravira" was unveiled with the permission of the Food and Drug Administration of Iran.

Iran PressIran News: The Iranian-made coronavirus medicine 'Saliravira' has been unveiled at the Science and Technology Office of the vice presidency in Tehran in attendance of Mahdi Safarinia, President of Pardis Technology Park, and Reza Ramezani the Saliravira producer on Monday.

The biotechnology headquarters of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology of Iran defined the plan to make an inhaler and preventive Corona drug and reduce COVID-19 complications in cooperation with a knowledge-based Company located in Pardis Technology Park to operationalized it.

This four-dimensional drug consists of nasal and oral sprays with the aim of eliminating viruses located in these areas, antiseptic pills and antivirals to eliminate blood viruses, and incense drops to reduce pulmonary complications.

This drug has passed clinical tests at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and Imam Khomeini Hospital and has received a license from the Food and Drug Administration.

This drug is completely herbal and native to Iran and has no side effects.

In terms of drug form, Saliravira is a new drug, and is produced in four medicinal forms including tablets, nasal spray, oral spray and inhaler drops.

The four forms of Saliravira may surprise or even confuse you at first, but these four forms have two main and understandable reasons:

1-Physical and direct effect of the drug:

Direct entry of an antiviral compound into various parts of the respiratory system (nasal spray: nasal cavity), oral spray (throat and joint parts of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract), and fumigation (all respiratory tract to the end of the lung) can have a powerful effect against viruses

2. Systemic absorption

An important difference between herbal medicine and chemical medicine is the very high number of active ingredients in herbal medicine. When we consume an herbal compound as a medicine, thousands of active ingredients may enter our bodies.

Undoubtedly, not all of these components have the same absorption, and some may be absorbed through the digestive tract and some through the capillary wall, so the multi-formulation of Saliravira causes the drug to achieve maximum absorption. Part of this drug is absorbed in the capillary network of the nose and some are absorbed in the mucus of the throat and part of it is digested.

Saliravira has produced by the Iranian Meem company and is in the process of preparing to enter the country's pharmaceutical market.
