Iran Press/ Iran news: Ali Sadeqzadeh stated that the fire was contained in the Zarand Iranian Steel Company on Sunday morning and did not cause any casualties.
He attributed the fire to the spillage of molten material and said that only the cables around the blast furnace were damaged.
"A sudden overflow of molten material in the blast furnace caused a fire and smoke, and no explosion occurred at the furnace site or other parts of the plant," he explained.
He pointed out that firefighters and emergency services were present to prevent any possible incidents, and more details would be announced later.
According to the report, the fire was accompanied by a loud explosion. Zarand is located 75 km northwest of Kerman.
