Tehran (IP) - Iran's President said that despite all the restrictions, the government has tried its best to protect the coronavirus-affected sectors.

Iran Press/Iran news: The meeting of the Government's Economic Coordination Headquarters was held under the chairmanship of President Hassan Rouhani, and in this meeting, a report on the measures taken regarding the necessary support and assistance against the economic consequences of coronavirus in the last Iranian year was presented.

With regard to the approval of the extension of facilities and coronavirus-related support to enterprises and businesses, proposals to support businesses in the current Iranian year in various areas were reviewed and necessary decisions were taken.

Supports provided in three household sectors, including housing rental loans and corporate support, electricity and gas-related support, social security, municipal tolls, and unemployment insurance for unemployed workers due to coronavirus restrictions were among the most important areas in the report.

President Rouhani in this regard referred to the effects and heavy losses caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 disease during the all-out economic war stressed: "The government, despite financial restrictions and foreign exchange earnings, has worked as hard as it can to support the affected ones, both in terms of households and the manufacturing enterprises, and will continue to do so."

The meeting also discussed the coordination and cooperation of various agencies to provide the required foreign exchange for the purchase and supply of basic goods.
