"The Syrian election was a massively popular and political referendum that turned the unprecedented mass turnout at the ballot box and the nationwide demonstrations before and after the election turned it into a major national celebration throughout Syria that has been liberated from the clutches of occupation and terrorism," the statement added. "By going to the polls, the Syrians reaffirmed their full commitment to national unity and opposition to sectarianism and secession."
Hezbollah expressed hope that all the aspirations of the Syrian people in development and prosperity will be realized. "And this process will be completed with the liberation of all areas under the control of the occupiers and terrorists," the statement stated.
