Tehran (IP) - The 38th Fajr International Film Festival kicked off in Tehran, Charsou cineplex, on Wednesday night.

Iran PressIran news: The inauguration was held by showing the movie 'beyond fire', directed by Kianoush Ayyari, which was one of the recovered classical movies.

This round of FIFF( Fajr International Film Festival ) is held with fewer participants to observe coronavirus health protocols, and only half of the cinema seat tickets were sold. Foreign artists did not attend and only sent their films to the festival.

More than 1,000 films worldwide volunteered to display, but around 300 were chosen by jury to be present in the event.

The 38th edition of  FiFF started on May 26th and will continue until June 2nd.
