Baghdad (IP) - Stressing their country's continued support for the Palestinian cause, Iraqi political leaders declared that there would be no stability in the region without the liberation of the Palestinian people.

Iran PressMiddle East: At the first conference in support of the Palestinian resistance in Baghdad on Saturday, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Mohammed al-Halbousi, stressed that all sects and various political groups in Iraq are committed to supporting the Palestinian cause and they are unanimously united to believe that all possible forms of support for the Palestinians should be agreed upon.

Al-Halbousi stressed that the myth of the Iron Dome ended with the end of the Israeli invasion of Gaza and the claim that the Israeli regime's army was strong against the will and resistance of the Palestinian people and groups.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi also condemned the Israeli regime's atrocities in Gaza and Al-Quds, emphasizing Iraq's firm stance in support of the Palestinian cause.

At the conference, Iraqi President Barham Salih reiterated Iraq's firm support for the Palestinian people and their resistance and said that during these difficult days, Iraqis were monitoring the Palestinian people's courageous resistance and unparalleled Palestinian challenge, and what happened shows that there will be no progress and stability in the region without justice and freedom for the Palestinian people.

Hadi al-Amiri, Head of the al-Fatah coalition in the Iraqi Parliament, said the Palestinian nation's resistance and stability missiles were writing a new history for the Muslim Ummah, and that despite a media misunderstanding, a new era had begun in the world in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

The Israeli war against the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza began on May 10 and ended on May 21 following a call for a ceasefire by the Israeli cabinet due to the inability of the Israeli army to confront the Palestinian resistance forces and mediated by some foreign actors.
