Iran, Georgia mull over scientific, educational cooperation

Tbilisi (IP) - The Iranian ambassador and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Georgia stressed the need to expand cooperation between Iran and Georgia in science, education, and academia.

Iran PressAsia: The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia, Akbar Ghasemi, met with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the need to expand cooperation between Iran and Georgia in science, education, and academia.

In this meeting, the Iranian ambassador, referring to the increasing educational and university needs of Iranians, emphasized the need for matching the diplomas of graduates of academic and university centers of the two countries by both sides.

Referring to the depth and importance of Iran's relations and strategic position, Mikheil Chkhenkeli said: "Tbilisi has always taken a constructive approach to strengthen educational and academic processes between the two countries."
