Palestinian Ministry of Health: 227 martyred in Gaza

Gaza (IP) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the number of Palestinian martyrs in the Zionist regime's attacks on the strip has reached 227 people.

Iran Press/Middle East: Palestinian Health Ministry Spokesperson, Ashraf Al-Qudra, said Wednesday night that 227 Palestinians, including 64 children, 38 women, and 17 elderly people were martyred in the past 10 days since the Zionist regime launched a series of attacks on Gaza strip.

He added that 1,630 Palestinians, including 470 children and 310 women, were injured during this period.

Expressing concern about the displacement of 50,000 Palestinians in Gaza, he noted that the health and living conditions in 52 shelters were not good and that this could trigger the third COVID-19 wave in Gaza and the spread of infectious and skin diseases, which would make it difficult for health workers.

He called for $ 46 million in immediate aid to help Gaza's medical sector and said the aid was now needed to provide medicine and medical equipment for the strip.

The Occupied Palestinian Territories have witnessed clashes between Palestinian youth and Zionist militias and settlers in recent days. There has been a lot of unrest and conflict in the Arab cities of occupied Palestine.

Since last week, Palestinian resistance forces have launched hundreds of rockets at Israel following the Zionist attacks on Palestinians in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Al-Quds, which also extended to the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
