Turkish envoy supports Iran, Turkey Joint cooperation commission for cementing ties

Tehran (IP) - Turkey's ambassador to Tehran called Iran-Turkey Joint cooperation commission as the best mechanism and best opportunity for developing bilateral ties.

Iran PressIran news: Turkey's ambassador to Iran, Derya Örs, said: "We hope that with unique political resolution seen between Iran and Turkish Presidents the volume and amount of trading would be increased considerably."

Referring to the 28th edition of Iran, Turkey cooperation commission initiation on Wednesday, the Turkish ambassador said, "Iran and Turkey are two neighboring countries with long-standing and deep-rooted relations cooperating in the different fields and at the highest levels leading to the excellent results."

Örs also stated: "Now at the moment the main and sub-committees of the commission are currently functioning. These committees are working to reach an understanding, and on Wednesday, the meeting will be chaired by Mahmoud Vaezi, Chief of Staff of the President of Iran and Minister of Energy of Turkey."

The Turkish diplomat said that the meetings of the Joint Commission are the best opportunity to present views, threats, and challenges in the relations between the two countries, adding that the meetings of the Joint Commission were the crystallization of the political will of the Presidents of the two countries.

According to Derya Örs, The commission is working to achieve a goal of 30 billion-dollar trade relations between the two countries, and the meeting would be consulted and planned to achieve this goal.
