Isfahan (IP) - The third phase of the joint vaccine clinical trial of Iran and Cuba started in Isfahan, central Iran.

Iran PressIran news: The third phase of the coronavirus vaccine clinical trial of the Pasteur Institute, a joint production of Iran and Cuba, began on Monday in Isfahan in the presence of Saeed Namaki, Minister of Health of Iran, and with the participation of 24,000 volunteers in Isfahan, Babol, Bandar Abbas, Zanjan, Sari, Kerman, Hamadan, and Yazd.

The first volunteers to be injected with the vaccine were Dr. Alireza Biglari, director of the Pasteur Institute of Iran, and Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Goya, director of the Infectious Diseases Management Center of the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
