Tehran (IP) – In a meeting with the Serbian foreign minister, the speaker of the Iranian parliament stressed deepening industrial, trade, and agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: During the meeting with Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selaković in Tehran on Sunday, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that stronger ties between Iran and Serbia could lead to stronger comprehensive cooperation.

He noted that the volume of economic relations between Iran and Serbia was not commensurate with the existing capacities and level of political relations.

The Serbian foreign minister also stated that the Serbian people had great respect for Iran's successful efforts to maintain independence and freedom.

Nikola Selaković further appreciated Iran's full support for the preservation of Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

He also expressed readiness to use the opportunity to enhance parliamentary relations with Iran further.
