Tehran (IP) – The director-general of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization and the Serbian foreign minister agreed to expand industrial, mining and investment cooperation and increase trade.

Iran PressIran News: In the meeting with Nikola Selakovic, Hamid Zadboom called for the finalization of the provisions of the Economic and Trade Promotion Action Plan, noting the interest of Iranian businessmen in expanding trade with Serbia.

He stated that by pursuing and finalizing the preferential trade agreement, the parties could pave the way for concluding a free trade agreement in the future.

The Serbian foreign minister also stressed the existing economic and industrial capacities in the two countries' relations and considered the meeting as a ground for increasing trade volume.

During the meeting, areas of interest, including information technology, energy, construction industry, auto parts, tires, agricultural machinery, buses, food industry, furniture, clothing, health, and petrochemicals, were discussed.
