Zahedan (IP) - The border commander of the police force of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the discovery of more than one and a half tons of various drugs by Saravan border guards on the borders of Sistan and Baluchestan, southeast of Iran.

Iran PressIran news: General Ahmad Ali Goodarzi, the border commander of the police force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said: "While seizing two vehicles, our forces discovered a quantity of one ton and 538 kilograms of various drugs."

Despite the sanctions, the Islamic Republic of Iran has had the highest number of drug seizures in the world in the past Iranian year (starting on March 21, 2020), with the seizure of more than 950 tons.
