Iran Press/ Iran News: In a telephone conversation with the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Hassan Rouhani stressed the need to resolve regional crises, including the Yemeni crisis, through dialogue and negotiations, saying: "We believe that the only successful way to ensure security, peace, and stability in the region is to resolve issues peacefully, responsibly and with the common interest and militarism cannot solve the problems."
Rouhani also referred to Vienna talks on Iran's nuclear issue and the US desire to return to the deal, emphasizing: "The only way for the US is to return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and lift all sanctions and fulfill all obligations under the UNSC's resolution 2231, and then Iran will return to all its obligations undoubtedly."
"I hope, over the years, the Americans would have reached the conclusion that sanctions and pressure are not the right way," Rouhani said, adding that the Americans should return to the Security Council resolution and the deal, which is the only solution.
Referring to the good cooperation between Iran and Qatar in various political and economic fields, the President stressed the need to develop and deepen relations and use all capacities to move forward economic and trade affairs.
In this conversation, the Emir of Qatar emphasized the development and deepening of relations between the two countries, especially cooperation in transportation, and said: "The two countries should use all their capacities to develop relations."
"We hope that all parties to the JCPOA would restore the multilateral international agreement by returning to their commitments," the Qatari leader added.
The Emir of Qatar once again invited the President of Iran to visit Qatar and expressed hope that during the visit, the two countries' officials would discuss, in person and closely, issues of mutual interest and regional issues.
