Iran's envoy, Russian official discuss bilateral cooperation

Moscow (IP) - On the verge of the Russian Foreign Minister's visit to Tehran, the Islamic Republic of Iran's ambassador to Moscow met with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Russian Foreign Ministry said in preparations for Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's visit to Tehran, Igor Morgulov and Kazem Jalali discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation, regional and international issues.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova had announced that Lavrov would travel to Tehran on April 13 at the invitation of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

He noted that the two sides are expected to discuss some important issues, including the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, the Persian Gulf and the region.
