Iran Press/ Iran News: Ali Rabiee said in a press conference on Tuesday: "We are witnessing a new phase of coercion defeat and reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action."
“Finally, the United States, frustrated by the wrong path of the past, admits that maximum pressure has failed and that there is no choice but to restore order and return of the parties to their commitments,” Rabiee stressed.
"This success would never have been achieved if we had not stood up to the Trump regime in spite of all external and internal pressures to leave the JCPOA, and if our people had not endured this severe suffering," he added.
"Our principled position is very clear and will be reiterated by our negotiators," the government spokesman said, noting that the Vienna meeting was an opportunity for all sides to discuss how and when to return to commitments.
He noted: "As it has been said many times, no negotiations will take place between the representatives of Iran and the United States, but we are ready to convey this message to the members of JCPOA that in case of lifting sanctions and implementing Resolution 2231, the Islamic Republic of Iran will be reciprocally prepared so that in case of the fulfillment of the obligations of the other parties, it will return to all its obligations in the shortest possible time."
Rabiee stated: "At present, we are not optimistic or pessimistic about the results of this meeting."
