Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman of Iran's Government said lifting sanctions needed taking practical measures.

Iran Press/Iran News: In his weekly press conference on Tuesday and in response to a question on US-Iran contact, Ali Rabiei rejected such a contact, saying the meeting with the US was neither of profit nor necessity.

Ali Rabiei recalled that the positions of the new US President Joe Biden before and after the election did not change and that he was pursuing his predecessor's policy of maximum pressure on Iran.

The Iranian government reiterated that whenever the US fulfilled its obligations to the JCPOA and lifted its sanctions on Iran, then Iran would do the like and return to the international nuclear deal.

With regard to the US obstacles for other countries in producing and purchasing vaccines, he noted that Iran saw nothing from the US but mere mottos.

Even a country that supplied its raw material to develop vaccines was committed to the US to not give vaccines to Iran.
