Following the EU proposal to hold an informal meeting between the members of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the United States, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran announced that considering the recent stance and actions of the US and three European countries, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not consider the time appropriate for holding an informal meeting proposed by the European Coordinator of JCPOA.
Iranian Foreign Minister spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh emphasized on Sunday night: "There has been no change in US position or behavior, and the Biden administration has not only abandoned Trump's failed policy of maximum pressure but has not even announced its commitment to fulfilling its overall responsibilities in JCPOA and Security Council Resolution 2231."
