Tehran (IP) - The director-general of the Arab-African office of the Trade Development Organization of Iran stressed that the country has the capacity of 1.5 billion dollars for trade with Syria for the import and export of technical and engineering goods and services.

Iran Press/Iran News:  "Syria is one of Iran's strategic partners politically and economically," Director-General of the Arab-African office of the Trade Development Organization of Iran Farzad Piltan told a "Conference on Opportunities for Cooperation with Syria" on Monday.

Farzad Piltan said that Iranian companies should try to use the existing capacity to increase trade with Syria, stressing: "In addition to goods, Iran has a very high capacity for cooperation for the export of technical and engineering services in the current situation.

"Statistics show that in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (started from March 20, 2020), about $ 73 million were exported from Iran to Syria and about $ 10 million were imported from Syria to Iran.
