Syria (IP): The head of the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce said that on March 10 this year, the Bandar Abbas-Latakia shipping line will start operating.

Iran PressMiddle East: "According to the agreement, once a month, ships will regularly carry cargo from Iran to Syria, and the first shipment will be sent to the port of Latakia on March 10," Keyvan Kashefi said.

In the beginning, we will start exporting to Syria on a regular basis once a month. But if necessary, the goods will be sent to Latakia twice a month.

He added: "There are no restrictions on export items, and exporters can choose Syria as their destination for export of goods."

Last November, Iran, Iraq, and Syria have signed a trilateral memorandum of understanding to connect Imam Khomeini Port to Basra and Latakia to Bandar Abbas via a rail network.
