Tehran (IP) - The head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Islamic Republic of Iran-Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe's ambassador to Tehran held a meeting to discuss the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: Head of the Iran-Zimbabwe Parliamentary Friendship Group, Iqbal Shakeri in a meeting with Zimbabwean Ambassador to Tehran, Christopher Mapanga referred to the existing capacities for improving relations between Iran and Zimbabwe, said: "There are good capacities in various fields of industries and mines, agriculture, defense and security, marine and fisheries industries, health and education to improve relations between the two countries."

The head of the parliamentary friendship group of the Islamic Republic of Iran-Zimbabwe criticized the hostile policies of the United States and the imposition of cruel sanctions against the Iranian nation, adding: "Iran has faced hostile US policies since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, but these behaviors have had no effect on the will of the Iranian people to maintain the country's independence and development."

Referring to the fact that the Zimbabwean parliament and government welcome the strengthening of relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Zimbabwean Ambassador to Tehran said: "There are good capacities to improve the level of economic cooperation between the two countries, which should benefit the two nations."
