Moscow (IP) - Russia's Foreign Minister stated that the JCPOA has reached a turning point and expressed hope that the US will soon come to a specified conclusion over that international agreement.

Iran Press/Europe: In a joint press conference with EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrel on Friday, Sergey Lavrov said: "We continue to work within the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to resolve the issues over Iran's nuclear program."

Lavrov expressed hope that the US as one of the countries signers of the JCPOA specifies that to what extent it could return to the international document which is the result of multilateral diplomacy and an example of efforts made to deescalate tensions in critical regions and support the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

He stressed that his country is ready to cooperate with the European Union in order to revive the JCPOA.

As about Russia's relations with the EU, Lavrov said that the weakening of Russia-Europe relations has unpredictable consequences and that the two sides agree to establish relations and develop dialogue channels.
