A member of the political bureau of the Islamic Jihad movement stressed that the issue of Palestine was not a US priority and that the new US administration would not pursue a new policy towards Palestine.

Iran Press/Middle East: Mohammad al-Hindi, a member of the political bureau of the Islamic Jihad movement, stressed the importance of the Palestinian issue in the Middle East.

"The issue of Palestine is not a US priority, but the internal and external priorities of this government are other issues," al- Hindi told Al-Mayadin news network.

"It is an illusion to rely on Biden to pursue a new policy [towards Palestine]," he said, stressing that only interests are a priority for the Zionist regime.

Al-Hindi stressed that the plans of the Palestinian Authority have been ended, noting: "The plan [of the Arab countries for the Palestinian issue] ended with the normalization of relations. There are profound political changes in the region and the world that cannot be ignored."
