Iran's newly diagnosed COVID-19 patients reach 6016 in last 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that in the past 24 hours, 86 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 56,803.

Iran Press/Iran news: Sima Sadat Lari announced that in the past 24 hours, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 reached 6016 cases, out of whom 523 patients were hospitalized.

According to the statistics from yesterday to January 17, 2021, 1,330,411 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 1,119,137 of the total infected people recovered, Lari stated.

4,373 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition in Iran.

So far, 8,527,307 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman noted.

According to the latest analysis, 10 cities are regarded as red zones in the Northern province of Mazandaran including Amol, Babol, Tonekabon, Juybar, Ramsar, Sari, Savadkouh, Fereydonkenar, Qaemshahr, and Neka.
