US anti-Iranian sanctions continue

Washington(IP)- As part of the White House's anti-Iranian policies and actions, US Treasury Department sanctioned several Iranian individuals and entities.

Iran PressAmerica: The US Treasury Department on Wednesday put the names of two individuals and 16 Iranian entities on the sanctions list, including the Barakat Knowledge-Based Institute, which produces the corona vaccine in Iran.

According to this report, Abadan Power Generation Company, Astan Quds Razavi, Iran Combine Manufacturing Company, Mobin Iran Electronic Development Company, Mofid Rahbar Auditing Institute, Quds Razavi Housing and Civil Engineering Company, Quds Razavi Mines Company, Quds Razavi Traditional Tile Company, The Razav broker Stock Exchange, the Razavi Economic Organization, the Razavi Information and Communication Technology Company, the Razavi Oil and Gas Development Company, the Razavi Supply Chain Management Company, the Shahab Khodro Company, and the Drilling Development Company are among the institutions on the US sanctions list.

With the unilateral withdrawal from the UN Security Council (May 8, 2018), the US government thought that by pursuing a policy of maximum pressure, it would force Iran to come to the negotiating table and accept a new agreement on the terms of the US. After about two and a half years, the United States has not achieved any of its goals against Iran.

Earlier, the US Treasury Department said in a statement that the sanctions against the two individuals and four entities affiliated with the Iranian judiciary are in accordance with the CATSA act (countering US enemies through sanctions).
