Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Minister of Energy said that the establishment of a joint venture fund between Iran and Iraq is a point of encouragement for the private sector.

Iran Press/Iran News: In response to the Iran Press' question about the establishment of a joint venture fund between Iran and Iraq, Reza Ardakanian said that the main economic issue between the two countries in this regard depends on the development of the private sectors of Iran and Iraq.

Noting that Iraq is a developing country, Ardakanian added that the country has a number of capacities in the civil sector which in partnership with Iran, can be implemented to develop Iraq.

He highlighted that Iranian contractors, specialists, and consultants are operating in Iraq, and Iraqis are cooperating well with them.

Emphasizing that the relevant officials should have the necessary cooperation to carry out this project, the Minister of Energy pointed that the establishment of a joint investment fund between Iran and Iraq is a turning point for the private sector.

He concluded that participation of the private and public sectors in the formation and strengthening of the fund is good support for the implementation of plans and projects.
