Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of the Economic Commission of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly said the reformation of the budget structure for the Iranian year of 1400 (starting on March 21, 2021) would practically lead to achieving other economic goals.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday, Mehdi Toghyani emphasized the need to reform the budget structure of the country, adding that reducing inflation in the economy is related to reforming the budget structure, but in any case, the next year’s budget is inflationary.

Toghyani said that one of the important tasks of the parliament is to reduce the country’s big budget deficit and that the government should get help from the central bank, sell bonds, and depend on oil to cover the budget deficit, which all are inflationary.

He stated that in the next year’s budget, the sale of 300,000 billion Tomans bonds had been envisaged and the dependence on oil had increased, which must be adjusted to reduce the budget deficit.

The spokesman of the Economic Commission of the Iranian parliament went on to say that if the budget reform was realized in the parliament with the support of the government, a part of people's livelihood problems would be solved in the next year and 1400 would be a better year for the people.
