Iraqi MP:

BAGHDAD (IP) - A member of the Iraqi parliament called the response to the assassination of the late commander of the Quds Force and deputy head of the Iraqi Al-Hashd al-Shabi organization, the expulsion of Americans from his country.

Iran PressMiddle East: Falekh al-Khazali, head of the Al-Sanad al-Watani faction in the Iraqi parliament, stressed today (Monday): "The blood of the martyrs of the victory operation (over the ISIS terrorist group) will never be spoiled and it is considered as the code of victory over the terrorism and foreign-cooked plots.

He added: "Our response (to the assassination of these martyrs) is to expel the American occupier from Iraq."

Al-Khazali, who spoke to Al-Ahd News Agency, called on the Iraqi government not to delay any timetable for the withdrawal of US troops from the country, noting: "Parliament is closely pursuing the timetable for the withdrawal of foreign troops, especially the US troops and we will take action to hold accountable any party that tries to ignore the parliamentary resolution.

Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, the late commander of the Quds Force, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy chief of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Organization, along with eight others, were assassinated by drones at the Baghdad airport on Friday morning, January 3, 2020, at the direct order of US President Donald Trump.

As a result of this White House terrorist act, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps fired several ballistic missiles at the US base of Ain al-Assad in Iraq's Al-Anbar province on the morning of Wednesday, January 8.
