Tehran (IP) - Following a Saturday statement by France's foreign ministry supporting the Paris-backed antagonist Rohollah Zam, the French ambassador to Tehran was summoned by the Iranian foreign ministry.

Iran PressIran news: The assistant minister and director-general for Europe of Iran's foreign ministry summoned the French Ambassador to Tehran Philippe Thiébaud and conveyed to him the official protest of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the very statement.

Also on Sunday, the German ambassador to Tehran Hans-Udo Muzel was summoned to the Iranian foreign ministry following the EU’s interventionist statement on the execution of Ruhollah Zam and was informed of the protest by the assistant to the foreign minister and director-general for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ruhollah Zam, director of the Amad News Telegram channel who called himself the mastermind behind the unrest in Iran was executed by hanging on Saturday morning and was brought to justice.

Ruhollah Zam, who for several years had become a tool in the hands of the anti-Iranian intelligence services by launching a telegram channel called 'Amad News' outside the borders and spreading false news against the Islamic Republic of Iran, had been previously arrested by the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC)  Intelligence Organization.

By creating despair and hopelessness and spreading false news against the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Amad News Telegram channel sought to deceive the public opinion.
