Iran Press/ Iran news: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, tweeted today (Tuesday) in Arabic to neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf: "It seems that some neighboring countries have asked the West to be part of the negotiation process with Iran."
"We are not negotiating with the West over the region," he added, noting: "The main problem is their interventions. At the same time, we are always ready to negotiate with our neighbors, and projects such as the 1986 Regional Security, the 2016 Regional Dialogue Forum, and the Hormoz Peace Initiative 2019 illustrate this point."
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan in a statement on Saturday called on the United States to consult with the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf on any possible nuclear deal with Iran, saying: "On any [possible] nuclear deal between Washington and Tehran should consult with the [Persian] Gulf countries.

Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdul Latif bin Rashid al-Zayani, meanwhile, said in a statement that any amendment to the Iran nuclear deal should include aspects that have raised concerns in the region.
Saeed Khatibzadeh, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said yesterday (Monday) regarding Saudi Arabia's and Bahrain's request to participate in possible US talks with Iran: "Some countries have given their full prestige during the term of the outgoing US president to achieve their goals and spent their people's money on companies that would buy a security for a few days. Those who have built their security on a weak foreign base are obviously a little worried.
