Yazd (IP)- The plasma of recovered COVID-19 patients is taken daily at the Yazd Comprehensive Blood Donation Center in central Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Plasma is the clear, straw-coloured liquid portion of blood that remains after red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and other cellular components are removed.

It is the single largest component of human blood, comprising about 55 percent, and contains water, salts, enzymes, antibodies, and other proteins. Convalescent plasma (kon-Vuh-LES-unt PLAZ-muh) therapy uses blood from people who've recovered from an illness to help others recover.
