The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Serbia said that Iran's nuclear deal, known as JCPOA, has been the most important diplomatic achievement in the last hundred years.

Iran PressEurope: In an interview with the Serbian-language CorD magazine, Rashid Hassanpour said that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was a guarantee of the interests of all parties to the agreement and, of course, a guarantee of regional and international peace and security, which was signed with the support of the UN Security Council.

Iranian ambassador added: "The United States, while Iran fulfilled its obligations, unilaterally violated UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and withdrew from the JCPOA."

Hassanpour, noting that this act and the oppressive sanctions put a lot of pressure on the Iranian economy, said: "Such an action has led to the unprecedented political isolation of the United States in the world."

With the unilateral withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on May 8, 2018, the US government by pursuing a policy of maximum pressure, intended to force Iran on a new round of negotiations and impose a new agreement in favor of the terms indicated by the US.

After about two and a half years, the United States has not achieved any of its goals against Iran.
