Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Institute for the Protection of Children with Cancer (MAHAK), as a member of the World Cancer Control Association (UICC), was ranked first in the Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Iranian Institute for the Protection of Children with Cancer (MAHAK) has been joining the World Cancer Day campaign every year since 2016, from February 4, World Cancer Day to February 15, World Child Cancer Day, and takes steps to raise awareness about cancer, ways to diagnose it, and designs and implements measures to raise awareness about cancer, ways to detect and control it early, and to introduce the concerns of people with the disease to the community. 

According to the report, out of 1,100 member organizations of the World Cancer Control Association (UICC), MAHAK Institute as an Iranian organization and four other organizations from Singapore, Kenya, Nigeria and Cyprus were shortlisted for the Cancer Awareness Campaign Award and were reviewed for first place.

Surveys by the World Cancer Control Association show that the actions of the MAHAK Charity in Iran last year, among organizations from 170 countries, were the most successful in informing about cancer and creating partnerships between different levels and groups of society in the country, region and world, and deserves to be ranked first.

Charity for the Support of Children with Cancer (MAHAK) in Iran since 1991 with the motive of helping fellow human began its comprehensive efforts to support children under the age of 16 with cancer and their families.
