Tehran (IP) - President of the 4th International Clinical Oncology Congress (18-20 Dec.), M.R. Ghavamnasiri said that cancer is the second cause of death in Asia and we should concern all the factors related to it.

Iran PressIran News: President of the 4th International Clinical Oncology Congress in an exclusive interview with IP said on Wednesday that as the name of the Congress is concerns, to have a relationship between anchology concerns in Iran and out of the country, cancer is the second cause of death in Asia, Europe, and the US and we should concern all the factors related to it.

Ghavamnasiri added that the cancer is raising up in the world and therefore we pay more attention to it in a different area such as diagnosis and the ways of treatment, nowadays the quality of life of the patients depends on the different treatments they receive.

He also went on to say that sanctions have a very negative effect on the treatment of cancer in Iran and make problems in dealing with our patients because it's important that the patients get better drugs and the most effective drugs in any case of disease.

"The brand drugs are more expensive and by sanctions, it's clear that the drugs are costly for the patients," he added.
