Yemen (IP) - Iran’s Ambassador to Sana’a and the Caretaker of the Yemeni Ministry of Electricity and Energy discussed the transfer of technical and educational experiences in the field of electricity generation.

Iran PressMiddle East: During the meeting, Hassan Irlou and Abdul Ghani al-Madani stressed the need to increase coordination, strengthen cooperation, and sign contracts and agreements in the field of electricity generation between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed the transfer of Iranian experience and the training of the staff working in the Yemeni Ministry of Electricity with the help of engineers from the Iranian Ministry of Energy. 

Iran's ambassador to Sana'a also met with the Yemeni Minister of Agriculture Abdul Malik al-Thawr and discussed cooperation between the two countries.

Al- Thawr, for his part, stressed utilizing Iran's experiences in the field of agriculture, especially in areas of research, agricultural machinery, and combating desertification.

Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, has invaded Yemen since March 2015 and besieged this country by land, sea, and air. 

The war has so far killed more than 16,000 Yemenis, injured tens of thousands, and displaced millions of others.
