Iran, Russia cooperating in developing COVID-19 vaccine: Health Ministry spox

Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced the country's cooperation with Russia in preparing the COVID-19 vaccine.

Iran PressIran News: In an interview with RIA Novosti on Thursday, Sima Sadat Lari stated that Iranian experts and officials have held talks with the Russian side on the preparation of the COVID-19 vaccine, and are cooperating with the Russian manufacturers.

Larry also said currently, four Iranian companies are working on the production of the COVID-19 vaccine and have informed the World Health Organization (WHO) of their progress.

Earlier, Iran's Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali had announced that Tehran was determined to cooperate with Moscow in developing the COVID-19 vaccine.

The number of the world population infected with the coronavirus has exceeded 60,780,000, and more than 1.4 million people have died.
