Iran, Russia consult on coronavirus vaccine production

Iran's ambassador in Moscow, during a meeting with the Special Assistant to the President of Russia, expressed hope that cooperation between Iranian and Russian research centers for the joint production of the coronavirus vaccine would begin soon.

Iran PressEurope: "Kazem Jalali" Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Moscow and "Andrei Fursenko" Special Assistant to the President of Russia for Science and Technology Policy and Secretary of the Science and Education Council, discussed issues related to Iran-Russia cooperation in the fields of technology, science, and academia.

Referring to several rounds of talks between the Ministries of Health and institutes of the two countries on the joint production of the Covid-19 vaccine, Jalali said in the meeting, "We hope that cooperation between Iranian and Russian research centers in this field will begin as soon as possible."

Andrei Fursenko, while explaining the latest status of the production of vaccine Covid-19 in Russia (Sputnik V), explained the process of genetic studies in his country and the areas of cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
