Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the US should end hostility towards his country as a new administration is going to come into office in the United States.

Iran Press/Iran News: Referring to the US elections, Hassan Rouhani said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday: "We feel that the situation has been prepared for closer relations and better interaction with all friendly countries."

He added: "The problems of the outgoing government, which is in the last months of its life, were that they were not very familiar with international politics and were almost the implementers of the views of domestic extremists and the Israeli regime."

Rouhani said: "You see this guy in his speeches in international forums about Iran. He used the same expressions and words that the Israeli regime uses."

"When you listen to his (Donald Trump) speeches, you will realize who wrote for him, and all his problems stemmed from the fact that he could not make decisions based on the interests of the American people and the world," Rouhani stressed.

He pointed out that Trump fell behind in the election; two important factors were their inability to address the coronavirus disease that devastated the American people. Instead of planning to fight the virus, they treated it unprofessionally and underestimated it.

Referring to the US presidential election and the defeat of Donald Trump, President Hassan Rouhani said: "The president, who has always sought to humiliate nations and explicitly uses the name of a dairy cow, was strongly opposed by the people in an election. It was essential."

He noted: "The regime that dreamed of the fall of the Iranian government was humiliatingly overthrown. Inside Iran, too, the expectations of the people have changed, and expect the economic situation to improve."

"Of course, I do not mean that we should wait to see the next US administration; No, it is the basis of our relations with neighboring and friendly countries. However, as a government that is coming to an end, the current US government and regime was playing a disruptive role in our relations with other countries. Now, the countries feel that the annoying factor is disappearing, and the conditions for action are prepared based on their own interests," the president highlighted.

Referring to Joe Biden's victory in the US presidential election, Rouhani said: "The guy who won the election from the beginning of his election campaign has said that he wants to return to the Iranian nuclear deal called JCPOA."

He stressed: "If the other side moves towards our principles, the way is open, but if they do not want, we will continue our plans. The plan, which was recently drawn up for the next nine months, was based on the current US ruler winning. We did not base our agenda on changing the current head of government."

Rouhani said: "We planned to increase exports, return export currency, and the abundance of goods inside, and we will continue."
