FM Zarif arrives in Pakistan heading a political-economic delegation

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif heading a political and economic delegation arrived in the Pakistani capital Islamabad on Tuesday evening to consult with senior Pakistani officials.

Iran PressAsiaMohammad Javad Zarif was welcomed by Mohammad Ali Hosseini, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, a group of embassy officials, and the Deputy Minister of Regional Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan upon arrival at Noor Khan Air Base.

A number of advisers to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country are accompanying Zarif on this trip.

Zarif has previously traveled to Pakistan 10 times as Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During his two-day visit to Pakistan, our Foreign Minister will meet with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and General Qamar Javid Bajwa, Commander of the Pakistani Army.

A speech at the meeting of the Institute of Strategic Studies of Islamabad (ISSI) will be another Zarif’s program in Islamabad.

Ways to expand bilateral relations, follow up on the implementation of agreements between the two countries, consult on regional and international developments will be among the most important topics of Mohammad Javad Zarif's talks with high-ranking Pakistani officials.
