424 died from COVID-19 in a day: Spox.

Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, announced on Friday that 663,800 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 509,952 of the total infected people have recovered.

Iran Press/Iran news: "According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to November 6, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 reached 8,864 cases out of whom 3,234 patients were hospitalized," Lari stated.

She added that in the past 24 hours, 424 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 37,409.

5,495 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, 5,147,249 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman noted.

She pointed out that Provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamedan, Yazd, and Kurdistan are regarded as red zones.

"Hormozgan, Fars, Golestan, and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces are also regarded as orange and yellow zones," Lari added.
