Tehran (IP) - Head of the Iranian Supreme Court Ahmad Mortazavi-Moghadam says the unjust assassination of the Late Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Lt Gen Qassem Soleimani caused irreparable damage to the war on terror.

Iran PressIran News: Mortazavi-Moghadam made the remarks during a virtual session of the Fifteenth Conference of Supreme Courts’ Chairmen of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) member states.

He noted that fighting terrorism is one of the pivotal principles of SCO.

Mortazavi-Moghadam pointed out that SCO members are expected to provide proper definitions of democracy, human rights, and terrorism to the world.

The official declared Tehran's readiness to exchange its experiences in various fields and making multilateral judicial cooperation agreements. 

In his introductory speech, the senior cleric stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is under cruel sanctions and the Iranian nation is deprived of basic amenities such as food and medicine.

He urged Shanghai Cooperation Organization members to ask bullying powers to end their injustice and lift the sanctions.

All the participants insisted on cooperation to maintain peace and security in the region and the world.

The attendees highlighted that social justice, economic trade, and political ties would be impossible without multilateral cooperation. 

The members of SCO stressed that no-one could combat and contain the coronavirus alone without unity and cooperation.

India, China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Iran, Afghanistan, Mongolia, and Kyrgyzstan were the countries that attended the webinar.

Kyrgyzstan was chairing the conference via videoconferencing on Friday.
