US condition for removing Sudan from the terrorist list revealed

The Sudanese Council of Ministers has revealed that during US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's visit to Khartoum, the United States made the removal of Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism conditional on the normalization of relations with Israel.

Iran PressAfrica: The Sudanese Council of Ministers issued a statement, adding that Pompeo presented the US proposal for Sudan to recognize the Israel regime and normalize relations with the regime as a condition for removing Sudan from the list.

Pompeo also suggested that US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulate the chairman of Sudan's sovereign council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdouk in a four-way telephone call on the initial agreement between Sudan and Israel to normalize relations.

The statement reads that an agreement will be reached between the two sides on the issue of normalization of relations between the Sudan and Israel regime and a decision on it will be made in the Legislative Assembly.

Donald Trump officially announced at the White House on Friday evening that the normalization of relations between Israel and Sudan has begun.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday that a joint meeting between Sudan and Israel regime will be held in the coming weeks to review cooperation horizons.

Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry called the US' offer to remove Sudan from the terrorism blacklist to normalize relations with Israel's regime shameful.
