Two major Sudanese parties have stated opposition to the Sudanese government's decision to normalize relations with the Zionist regime and called for a national front against the compromise.

Iran PressAfrica: Sudan's two parties, Hizb al-Mu'tamar al-Sudani and al-Ba'ath, issued separate statements Friday night opposing the ruling regime's decision to normalize relations with Israel, stating that they seek to form a national front against normalization with Israel.

US President Donald Trump on Friday announced the normalization of relations between Sudan and the Zionist regime.

"The Transitional Government of Sudan and Israel have agreed to fully normalize relations," Trump said at the White House.

Meanwhile, the United States, the Zionist regime and the transitional government of Sudan issued a joint statement in this regard.

Earlier, following Trump's efforts to facilitate the normalization of relations between the Arab regimes and the Zionist regime, the UAE and Bahrain agreed with Israel on the full normalization of diplomatic relations.

These agreements have been widely criticized in the Islamic world.

The leader of Sudan's Ummah party, Sadiq al-Mahdi, on Friday, warned the military rulers and the transitional government of the consequences following the normalizing relations with the Zionist regime.

Al-Sadiq al-Raziqi, president of the Sudanese Journalists' Association, also stressed that Sudanese are opposed to normalizing relations with the Zionist regime.

In recent months, the normalization of relations between some Arab regimes in the region and Israel has intensified.

The Arab regimes are trying to normalize relations with Israel, while the Zionist regime has been occupying many Arab-Islamic areas for years in addition to repressing the Palestinians.
