Daily prayers in Meccas Grand Mosque allowed after seven month

Saudi authorities allowed citizens and residents inside the kingdom to perform prayers at the Al-Haram Mosque ( Grand Mosque) in Mecca for the first time in seven months.

Earlier this month Saudi Arabia allowed citizens and residents to perform the Umrah pilgrimage at Islam's holiest sites, Mecca and Medina, after a seven-month pause due to coronavirus concerns, according to TRT World.

The number of coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia has surpassed 341,000 and the death toll from the disease is above 5,100.

Saudi Arabia suspended international flights and closed its borders to foreign pilgrims, and suspended Umrah simultaneously as the Corona epidemic.
