Iran, Pakistan emphasize expansion of economic ties

The Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between Iran and Pakistan was held with the aim of strengthening bilateral economic relations.

Iran Press/Asia: The meeting was held on Thursday evening via videoconference, and it was chaired by Iran’s Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Shahram Adamnejad, and Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of Pakistan Azaz Dar.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on various trade, business, banking, financial, Customs, investment, industry, information and communication technology, education, science and technology, cultural heritage and tourism, port connection and relation, shipping, maritime and rail transport, and roads.

The formation of bilateral technical committees in the fields of information technology, customs, border issues, chambers of commerce, the Joint Investment and Rail Transport Committee within the next month, and the holding of the 21st Joint Economic Cooperation Commission in the next three months were important issues of understanding during the meeting.
