IP- The West is devising Gaza's future without Palestinian involvement, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Iran PressEurope:  Speaking after the BRICS foreign ministers' meeting, Lavrov criticized external players for considering options like establishing an Arab protectorate or deploying peacekeeping forces in Gaza without Palestinian consent.

Russian top diplomat highlighted Palestinian disunity and external influence, citing a recent Moscow meeting where factions, including Hamas and Fatah, expressed unity under the Palestine Liberation Organization platform for the first time.

Stressing the need for Palestinian unity to negotiate effectively, Lavrov called for external sponsors to support this goal and urged a collective approach to ensure Palestinians speak with one voice in negotiations and seek their rights at the UN. While focusing on ending current conflicts, Lavrov affirmed Russia's commitment to supporting a Palestinian state in line with UN resolutions in the long term.
