A delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran left for Doha to participate in the Qatar meeting on Afghanistan.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi Qomi, on Sunday, led a delegation to Qatar to attend the third Doha summit on Afghanistan.

Kazemi Qomi added: "The Iranian delegation will explain Tehran's concerns toward Afghanistan and explain the humanitarian policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the officials of the United Nations and the countries participating in the meeting.

The third Doha Qatar Summit on Afghanistan is scheduled to be held today and tomorrow (Sunday and Monday) with the participation of representatives of various countries. Two other rounds of Doha talks on Afghanistan were held in Qatar earlier.

According to the Iranian ambassador to Afghanistan, the complex and serious situation in Afghanistan and the region requires comprehensive consultations with all parties.

Kazemi Qomi expressed hope that the upcoming negotiations will lead to the reduction of the suffering of the noble people of Afghanistan and bring peace, stability, security, sustainable development, and government based on the free will of the people without foreign interference and domination in Afghanistan.

Although the Taliban have been in power for nearly three years, no country has recognized them as the official government of Afghanistan. The Taliban has been struggling to gain international legitimacy since regaining power on 15 August 2021.

The most important global demand from the Taliban is to form an inclusive government and respect the rights of citizens, including recognizing the right of women to work and education for Afghan girls. 219
