Iran Press/ Iran News: Brigadier General Saeed Shabanian, Iran's Deputy Defense Minister, speaking about the defense progress in past 40 years, said: "During the imposed war, when we were attacked by Saddam’s missiles, we went to shelters, but today we have reached a level of deterrence where we are able to respond decisively and promptly to any threat against the Islamic Republic of Iran."
He added: "Today, almost all of our defense products are indigenous and made by our country's specialists, and there is no need for foreigners in these areas."
The Deputy Coordinator of the Ministry of Defense noted: "In the economic war and at the request of public and private industrial sectors, due to non-fulfillment of obligations of foreign companies in supplying parts of the country's industrial sectors, we built more than thousands of parts in the field of automobiles."
