Russia's representative to international organizations in Vienna praised the atmosphere of the IAEA Board of Governors when reviewing the verification report in Iran and added that no country supports the ridiculous efforts of the United States.

Iran PressEurope: Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's representative to international organizations based in Vienna, tweeted about the atmosphere in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) board of governors in connection with the US effort to reinstate UN sanctions against Iran.

He said: "Debates in the Board of Governors confirmed that no one takes seriously the ridiculous efforts of the United States to present itself as a self-proclaimed participant in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action JCPOA."

"The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors has begun reviewing the verification report of Iran, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2231, and its tone is positive," Ulyanov wrote in another message.

The Russian diplomat went on to say that the European Union had declared its support for the nuclear deal even more strongly than before.

Earlier, Rafael Grossi, director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said in a statement to the chairman of the Board of Governors that he hoped the agreement between Iran and the IAEA would strengthen mutual trust.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said in a report that Iran had granted access to one of the two sites demanded by IAEA for environmental sampling; In addition, the inspectors of this organization will visit another site in the coming days in September on the date agreed upon with Iran to perform the necessary sampling.
